Molded orifices are the simplest method of flow control and are one of Air Logic's best-selling product lines. They work on the principle of Flow Restriction with the orifice diameter being identified in the part number and by color codes assigned to each orifice size. In addition to orifice diameter, Air Logic controls many smaller factors that have an impact on the total restriction of the orifice. This is why Air Logic's orifices are trusted to provide accurate and reliable flow performance.

Orifice Inserts are pushed into a housing or manifold of a product and seal on the mating geometry with a slight interference fit. Orifice inserts are the most compact way to incorporate flow control into a device. The leading edge chamfer indicates the flow direction and improves the ease of assembly. Orifices are Factory tested in the direction marked on the product. The product will function in either direction, but using the product in the indicated direction will improve the accuracy of the flow control. Orifices are non-adjustable and tamperproof method of flow control. Orifices are sometimes called Flow Restrictors, Snubbers, Pneumatic resistors, Flow reducers, Flow dampeners. Applications include all types of miniature, pneumatic, or fluidic systems (examples: coffee makers, gas analyzers, medical beds, and printing systems). |
